The NSW Swifts have bowed out the ANZ Championship after a defeat to the WBOP Magic in Newcastle over the weekend, 54-49. It was a tough fought match, with the Swifts not having the answer to defeat the Magic.

Its a very disappointing end to the 2010 ANZ Championship for the NSW Swifts who made history, by being the team to navigate through the home and away season undefeated. But once the finals hit, both the Adelaide Thunderbirds and the WBOP Magic were too hot and both dispatched of the NSW Swifts, to book their spots in the Grand Final to be played in Adelaide on Sunday 11th July.

While it has been a tough couple of weeks for the NSW Swifts, we have come along way from our disappointing 2009 season, and will be looking at improving again for 2011. Thank you for all support throughout the season, and I hope to see you at the games in 2011.

Next step in now Austalian Diamonds commitments which begins July 21st, with a few busy months ahead into the lead up to the Commonwealth Games in India.
